摘要
1. 1. Osmotic concentrations were determined on the coelenteron fluid of Condylactis gigantea exposed to concentrations of seawater varying from 575 to 1350 mOsm/kg. No deaths occurred during the experimental periods. 2. 2. Anemones transferred directly from one salinity to another experienced changes in coelenteron osmotic concentration toward that of the new medium. Less than 6 hr was required to establish a new steady state. 3. 3. Coelenteron fluid in starved anemones was hypo-osmotic to environmental seawater. 4. 4. Osmotic concentration of coelenteron increased after the ingestion of food. Maximum values were obtained at 24 hr after food ingestion. © 1979.
