摘要
Brown's model for changes in technical magnetization of steel samples in small magnetic fields has been extended outside the Rayleigh region up to terms of the order H-4. The effect of magnetocrystalline anisotropy has been considered and has been shown to have an insignificant effect on the magnetization changes. An important mechanism affecting the difference between tension and compression, observed by earlier workers, is shown to be the small change in the domain distribution from the demagnetized state due to the application of the small magnetic field.
