摘要
The electrodialytic recovery treatment of an industrial wastewater, originating from a leaching operation on electrolytically-produced Ti crystals, is faced from both an experimental and a modeling point of view. The fundamental constituents of the wastewater (NaCl and Na2C2O4) are separated and prepared for recycling in the primary process. The selective transport of ions through the monovalent-ion-permselective membranes adopted is clearly of a nonequilibrium type. Thus the modeling was based on a kinetic approach by use of an Arrhenius-type expression relating the separation factor to current density, temperature, and concentrations in the diluate. A satisfactory accordance with the experimental results was obtained.
