Experiments using various types of ameroid constrictors placed around the branches of the left coronary artery in dogs were described. A new radiologically translucent constrictor, made in several sizes so that the internal diameter and the constricting capacity can be adjusted to the external diameter of the blood vessel, was demonstrated. The use of petrolatum-treated constrictors was concluded to be of no advantage. © 1969.
