摘要
The dehydration behaviour and the selectivity of some salt forms of crystalline zirconium phosphate have been studied. The loss of water is an irreversible phenomenon; when water is removed the interlayer distance decreases and noticeable changes in structure occur. Ion exchange isotherms and X-ray analysis show that discontinuous lattice rearrangement occurs during the Na+/K+ exchange. The isotherms for the forward and reverse processes do not coincide and considerable hysteresis is observed. Similar results are found in the Li+/Na+ and Li+/K+ exchanges. The influence of dehydration on the selectivity of the salt forms of crystalline zirconium phosphate is also discussed. © 1969.
