摘要
Two colliding solitons in a nonlinear Kerr-law medium induce a change of refractive index which can be viewed as a linear X-junction or coupler. The transmission properties of this device are considered using exact analytic results and numerical simulations. It is shown that in the case of equal soliton amplitudes, the transmission coefficient depends on the angle of collision but does not depend on the relative phase of the solitons.
