摘要
An analog processor to be used with silicon detectors belonging to active targets in high-energy physics has been implemented. Based upon a transversal filter approach of trapezoidal shaping, it features good signal-to-noise ratio, short peaking delay and behaves well at high counting rates. The paper discusses in detail the shaping technique employed and outlines the cares that have to be taken in order to optimize the count-rate capabilities. The processor has been tested successfully under real experiment conditions, with silicon detectors in the 40 GeV/c π-meson beam of IHEP, Serpukhov. Its behaviour in terms of resolution and count rate performances is described by several experimental data. © 1979.
