摘要
Presently existing theories of small-angle light scattering by polymeric materials are extended by consideration of the total scattering intensity. It is shown how this quantity, known as the total integral or Porod invariant in small-angle x-ray scattering, may be used to calculate the average square of the fluctuations in refractive index and orientation. Calculations are presented using both statistical and model approaches.
