ELASTIC-SCATTERING OF PIONS FROM O-16 IN THE ISOBAR-HOLE MODEL

摘要
The pion-nuclear T-matrix for π16O is calculated within the isobar-hole model. Many-body corrections, such as Pauli and binding effects, absorption and reflection contributions, are treated as self-energy corrections of the Δ-isobar which result in energy-dependent shifts and modifications of the widths of the relevant isobar-hole states. Isobar-hole interactions other than one-pion exchange are also discussed. A comparison with existing data in the (3, 3) resonance region is made. Also presented is an evaluation of the parameter C0 in the second order optical potential at threshold. © 1979.
