摘要：

A rhabdo-like virus (EGV-2) was observed proliferating in the mandibular glands from eyestalk ablated blue crabs. This proliferation occurred during the third, fourth, and fifth day after eyestalk removal. The viral proliferation occurred within the nuclear envelope and tubular endoplasmic reticulum and along the plasma membrane. The EGV-2 particles were also seen free in the hemal sinuses and attached to the plasma membrane of hemocytes. The cytoplasm of infected hemocytes were sometimes totally filled with EGV-2 particles. The particles were typically bacilliform in shape with a length of 100-150 nm and a diameter of 25-30 nm. © 1979.
