ANOMALOUS MAGNETIC AND ELECTRICAL BEHAVIOR OF A COMPLEX PHOSPHIDE U4CU4P7

摘要
We report the results of magnetic and electrical measurements of U4Cu4P7 performed on both powder and single-crystalline specimens. U4Cu4P7 orders antiferromagnetically at TN = 146 K. Its magnetic susceptibility appears to be strongly anomalous showing a steep jump at about 80 K and then rising sharply at low temperatures. The longitudinal resistivity of U4Cu4P7 has a semimetallic-like character and it is dominated by an unusually large maximum below the Néel temperature. © 1990.
