摘要：

A new type of optical switch, which is suitable for application to data paths with a loop bus-line configuration, is described. The switching action is obtained by moving a fiber directly. The insertion loss in the bypass mode is as low as 0.82 dB. Results of temperature, durability, and vibration tests are also described. © 1979, Optical Society of America.
