摘要
High temperature superconductor (HTS) magnetic bearings offer many advantages. Their applications are most promising in systems which provide the necessary cryogenic environment. The hydrogen turbopump of a nuclear propulsion engine is such a system. The combination of an HTS bearing and a fluid film bearing could over-come problems experienced with rolling element bearings in rocket engine turbo pumps.
