摘要
1. 1. Crayfish were kept in complete darkness for periods of 1-16 weeks and then the reactivity of both their photoreceptors and retinal shielding pigments and their ability to synthetize light-adapting hormone (Kleinholz. 1962), were tested. 2. 2. After 16 weeks of light-deprivation: (a) The reactivity of the photoreceptors was increased, (b) While the distal pigment was in the dark-adapted position, the proximal pigment remained in the light-adapted position, (c) The synthesis of light-adapting hormone was increased, (d) The reactivity of the shielding pigments was lost. 3. 3. These results suggest that a neuroendocrine reflex is required for the liberation but not for the production of the light-adapting hormone. © 1979.
