摘要
Estimating rates of DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis has been greatly facilitated by the use of radioactive precursors. Currently available methods to assess macromolecular synthesis in higher plants are time-consuming and imprecise. In the procedure outlined here, the conventional method is simplified by processing the tissue intact. This method allows a rapid analysis and considerably reduces the inherent variability associated with the conventional method. © 1979 Oxford University Press.
