THE STRUCTURAL-CHANGES OF PBO2 ANODES DURING OZONE EVOLUTION

摘要
A PbO2-coated titanium anode is employed in the evolution of ozone and examined for its stability in perchlorate an phosphate solutions. The phosphate buffer is more appropriate for ozone evolution. Structural changes in the PbO2 anode with addition of anions to the phosphate solution are examined by SEM and XRD. In most cases, the addition of anions induce PbO2 anode corrosion and transmutation to Pb4O(PO4)2.
