摘要
1. 1. The weight of house sparrows was significantly higher at 3°C than at 22°C and 32°C and there was an inverse relationship between metabolized energy and temperature. 2. 2. Photoperiodic régime and temperature affected the initiation of molt and the date at which molt began but not the dates of peak molt or the end of molt. 3. 3. The regression of weight and metabolized energy on the number of growing feathers was positive and linear and independent of temperature and photoperiodic régime. 4. 4. Differences in insulation effectiveness, duration of molt, and molt intensity affected the total energy expenditure for the molting process. © 1969.
