摘要
We describe here the integration of image analysis and robotics to produce a fully automated colony picking/plate handling system. Biological tests were performed to verify its performance in terms of sterilisation and accuracy of picking. The machine was then used by a single operative to pick a 36,000 clone cDNA library in almost-equal-to 42 hrs over 5 days.
