摘要
We describe a novel approach to decreasing the grain-boundary resistivity of yttria-zirconia ceramics substantially by a modification of the firing cycle and note the associated microstructural changes in the ceramic and the implications in the study of ceramic properties. The technique of ac impedance spectroscopy is used to resolve contributions to the total resistivity of a sample from the grain boundaries and the bulk.
