GASEOUS SPECIES AND THEIR PHOTOCHEMICAL-REACTION IN SIO2

摘要
Recent work on gaseous species, O-2 and Cl-2, dissolved in silica glass and the correlation with optical properties is reviewed, O-3 molecules are photochemically generated in silica glass from dissolved O-2 molecules. The photochemistry is very similar to that of O-2 molecules in the gas phase. F-2 molecules are generated in silica glass doped with fluorine by treating in heated He atmosphere. All of these gaseous species show similar optical properties and photochemistry with those in the gas phase.
