摘要
A detailed analysis of the chemical constituents of a Caribbean specimen of Pseudoceratina sp. which, on the basis of its morphological characters, seems to be different from the hitherto described three Pseudoceratina species, was performed. This study led to the isolation of nine brominated products (1-9), one of which is a new bromotyrosine metabolite. The proposed structure of the new compound 1 is based on spectral arguments. Compounds 1 and 2, which are the major brominated metabolites of our specimen and which have not yet been isolated from any Pseudoceratina species, could be usefully employed as chemotaxonomic markers.
