It is shown that measurements of high-energy charge-exchange reactions on nuclei with incident pions or kaons will furnish a sensitive method for obtaining information on a possible difference between charge and mass distributions in nuclei. The interpretation of experimental results when they become available is discussed on the basis of the Glauber or eikonal approximation applied to Saxon-Woods distributions. © 1969.
