摘要
Photoacoustic FT-IR spectroscopy was explored as a convenient way to obtain a quantitative measure of residual unsaturation in photo-cured acrylate systems containing organo-silicone functionalized silica. Despite the inherent difficulties of employing PAS/FT-IR for quantification, a comparison of the IR and photo DSC results indicate that an accurate quantification of the residual unsaturation in acrylic coatings with 30-80% cure can be obtained. The ester carbonyl band serves as an internal standard for the PAS/FT-IR measurement.
