摘要
Lattice constants for hypothetical room-temperature fluorite forms of Bi2O3 and rare-earth oxides are determined by application of Vegard's rule to fluorite solid solutions. Analysis shows that there are at least two different fluorite structures for sesquioxides, thereby explaining anomalous thermal expansivity data in the literature. A general equation for the prediction of room-temperature lattice constants for fluorite sesquioxide solid solutions is presented. © 1990 Academic Press, Inc.
