摘要
A new formulation of the general capacitors placement problem taking into consideration practical aspects of capacitors, the load constraints and the operational constraints at different load levels is presented. The new formulation of the general capacitor placement problem is a combinatorial optimization problem with a non-differentiable objective function. A solution methodology based on an optimization technique - simulated annealing to determine (i) the locations to install capacitors, (ii) the types and sizes of capacitors to be installed and (iii) the control settings of these capacitors at different load levels is proposed. The proposed solution methodology can offer the global optimal solution for the general capacitor placement problem. © 1990 IEEE
