摘要
We present principles for the design of a transit detector first proposed by F. V. Hunt. These principles permit the designer to specify the parameters of the transit detector, and to predict its performance without resorting to experimentation with time scaled models. It is shown that making simple approximations to the transit signal shape, constraining the observation time of the system to the effective duration of the transit, and applying a Gaussian approximation to the output of the system, leads to the specification of filter averaging times and accurate prediction of performance. Some variations of the scheme proposed by Hunt are briefly compared. © 1979, Acoustical Society of America. All rights reserved.
