USE OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE ELECTRON-SPIN-RESONANCE MATERIALS FOR THE DESIGN OF SCALAR AND VECTORIAL MAGNETOMETERS

摘要
An extensive work on radical ESR materials lead to the discovery of a number of new products exhibiting intense and narrow ESR lines, suitable for magnetometry. These materials can be classified using a convenient figure of merit. Two of them were used in two specific architectures for a scalar magnetometer with a resolution of 1 nT.Hz-1/2 (white noise) and a vectorial magnetometer with a resolution of .2 nT.Hz-1/2 (white noise). Those magnetometers can be used in high gradients (usual indoor environments) and have bandwidths which can be extended from do to several kHz.
