摘要
Single crystal growth of six crystals achieved at low pressure in the International Microgravity Laboratory 1 and in the related ground based experiments display an unexpected direct interaction between surface kinetics and vapour phase transport. The difference between the growth rate distribution as a function of the flow, the orientation with respect to the ampoule wall, the crystalline orientation, and the location and volume of crystals developed on walls allows determining the influence of gravity. Crystalline quality has been investigated by gamma-ray rocking curves on all space grown crystals and their seed. X-ray detection has been performed on the two largest crystals obtained.
