摘要
t is shown that the annual energy generated by wind energy conversion systems (WECS) per unit swept area is maximum when the ratio of design windspeed VN to local annual average windspeed VH is 2.5. However, the highest lant utilization factor corresponds to VN = 0.7 VH. These results cannot be used to select an optimum design windspeed or an optimum system. Economic considerations (introduced through an empirical relation between acquisition cost and the size of the system) lead to the definition of a single, site specific WECS such that the cost per unit energy is minimum. © 1990.
