LONGITUDINAL SUPERCONDUCTIVITY IN VORTEX-LINE PHASES - A MONTE-CARLO STUDY

摘要
The translational symmetry and the superconducting properties of the vortex-line phases of clean, isotropic, type-II superconductors placed in an external magnetic field H are investigated by Monte Carlo simulations of a lattice London model. These simulations are carried out at constant H and allow for finite penetration length lambda. Evidence is found that, in the region lambda > intervortex spacing, the translational order and the longitudinal superconductivity that exist in the vortex-lattice phase are destroyed simultaneously at the melting transition into an entangled vortex liquid.
