摘要
Fusarium tricinctum was isolated from peanuts remaining in the soil after harvest. The mold produced a toxic metabolite belonging to the Trichothecene family of mycotoxins. The toxin was shown to be 3α-hydroxy-4β,8α,15-triacetoxy-12,13-epoxytrichothec-9-ene and assigned the trivial name neosolaniol monoacetate. The mean lethal dose of the toxin in 1-day-old cockerels was 0.789 mg/kg. The toxin was also shown to be a potent plant growth inhibitor active to 10-6 M in wheat coleoptile tests and possesses similar dermal toxicity to T-2 toxin in rabbit skin tests. © 1978, American Chemical Society.
