摘要
The point defect structure and related transport properties of the iron oxide haematite, Fe2O3-epsilon are discussed based on data from literature and new electrical conductance and non-stoichiometry data. It is concluded that electrons and holes are the majority defects in haematite at high temperatures. The dominant ionic defects in haematite at temperatures between 1100 and 1300-degrees-C are anion vacancies. Based on a critical literature data review it is concluded that the current understanding of the diffusion of defects, cations and anions in haematite is still far from complete.
