摘要
Abiotic factors influence the efficacy of biocontrol in soil. These factors include pH, temperature, moisture, soil type, components of the soil atmosphere, inorganic and organic constituents of soil, and the quantity and type of pesticides applied to soil. The impact of these factors on interactions among soilborne plant pathogenic fungi and microbial antagonists is reviewed. Emphasis is placed on the effects of edaphic factors on disease- or pathogen-suppressive activities of microbial antagonists, rather than on population dynamics of these organisms.
