摘要
The reduction of the helium mass flow rate of a 30 kA current lead by inserting Nb3Sn wires in the low temperature part of the copper conductor is investigated. The technical realisation is described and the experimental results are presented. The mass flow rate normalized to the current has been measured to be 0.053 g/(s-kA) to 0.063 g/(s-kA) for operational currents of 15 to 30 kA respectively.
