STABLE J-AGGREGATE FORMATION OF PHOTOINDUCED MEROCYANINE IN BILAYER-MEMBRANE

摘要
A spiropyran compound having two long alkyl chains was incorporated into ammonium-type bilayer membranes. UV-induced merocyanine of this spiropyran formed a very stable J-aggregate within the bilayer matrices, which was disrupted by neither the fluidity change of the membrane nor the prolonged mechanical sonication.
