CHEMIELECTRON SPECTROSCOPY OF SOME METAL OXIDATION REACTIONS

摘要
The chemielectron and mass resolved ion spectra produced from lanthanide plus oxidant reactions have been recorded under thermal conditions. The main oxidants used are molecular and atomic oxygen. The experimental mass spectrum together with thermochemical and kinetic modelling calculations have been used to identify the major chemiionisation channel producing the electrons observed in the chemielectron spectrum. The chemielectron spectra have been interpreted by invoking the classical turning point mechanism. These studies are part of a larger research program to study the electronic structure of unstable molecules and ions by photoelectron Spectroscopy. © 1990.
