GAS SENSITIVITY MEASUREMENTS ON NO2 SENSORS BASED ON LEAD PHTHALOCYANINE THIN-FILMS

摘要
The conductance response of NO2 sensors based on lead phthalocyanine thin films to NO2, CO, SO2 and to mixtures of these gases has been studied. The sensor response is measured between 100 ppb and 100 ppm of NO2 in a carrier gas which is either N2 or synthetic air. No selective sensitivity is observed to CO or SO2 individually. If CO is present with the NO2, the conductance response to NO2 decreases. Some of the measurements might be interpreted as an increase of NO2 sensitivity as a result of SO2 exposure along with NO2. In mixtures containing 5000 ppm of both CO and SO2, 1 ppm of NO2 can be detected.
