摘要
The cyclic oxidation resistance of Ti-33.5wt.%Al is excellent up to 1073 K, but beyond that the outer nodular TiO2 layer becomes spalled with the inner protective Al2O3 film from where the oxidation progresses according to a linear law. The surface of the compound is readily modified by electrolytical plating of chromium or air plasma spraying of CoNiCrAlY. Both coatings are so effective in improving the cyclic oxidation resistance of the compound that the parabolic rate constants for the coatings are comparable to those for conventional nickel-base superalloys up to 1173 K.
