摘要
There is major interest in the development of ungauged flood forecasting models. This paper examines possible methods for improving the floodplain flow computation procedures in respect of the HYMO ungauged flood forecasting scheme that is widely used in the United States. Specifically, the concepts of momentum exchange and multiple routing are explored. The latter is shown to effect a significant improvement on the predicted hydrograph, when the models are applied to the Fulda catchment, West Germany.
