EXPERIMENTAL TEST OF QUANTUM ELECTRODYNAMICS BY PHOTOPRODUCTION OF WIDE-ANGLE ELECTRON PAIRS FROM HYDROGEN

摘要
The photoproduction of wide-angle electron pairs from hydrogen and carbon has been measured as a test of quantum electrodynamics (QED), using the 5-GeV electron synchrotron NINA. The results are consistent with the predictions of QED up to an invariant mass of the electron-positron pair of 500 MeV/c2. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
