摘要
Small-scale CHP units, each having a power capacity of less than 200 kW(e), are becoming increasingly popular among both public and commercial users. Currently, almost all such units employ reciprocating engines for power generation. However, gas turbines possess several advantages, and there have been several attempts to build CHP units based on small-scale, compact gas-turbines. A mathematical model has been developed to describe the behaviour of a small-scale CHP unit powered via a compact gas turbine. The performance and off-design characteristics of this unit were predicted. The influence of both current and anticipated technological factors have been assessed. Under similar operating conditions, the proposed CHP unit proved to be competitive when compared with CHP systems based on existing reciprocating engines.
