摘要
A 0.9m diameter pilot flotation column has been in operation at Falconbridge's Strathcona concentrator for the purpose of CukNi separation. The results from this column have been used to design a full scale column circuit to treat all of the CuNi separation feed. To design a bubble generation system for the full scale column circuit extensive tests have been run with the pilot column, which is instrumented to measure all process flows, froth depth, gas holdup and bubble diameter. Two sparging systems have been studied: a cloth sparger and the external contacting system. This paper reports the bubble generation characteristics and metallurgical performance of the two systems. © 1990.
