摘要
Intermetallic compounds involving rare earths or actinides in chemical union with Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni absorb hydrogen extensively to form very hydrogen-rich systems. Profound magnetic changes often occur during hydrogénation. There are cases in which hydrogénation (1) quenches ferromagnetism, (2) brings on ferromagnetism, (3) converts a superconductor into a ferromagnet, (4) strikingly weakens exchange, etc. Systems illustrating each of these features will be discussed. The behaviour observed is generally consistent with the concept that hydrogen acts essentially as an electron acceptor in these systems. © 1979, Akademische Verlagsgesellschaft, Wiesbaden
