摘要
The leaching behaviour of UO2 in water is of importance for the concept of direct storage of spent nuclear fuel. UO2 is known to be structurally stable at high damage levels. The present study shows that nevertheless the leach rate Of UO2 in water at 20 or 90-degrees-C is increased by more than an order of magnitude in UO2 implanted with energetic fission products (Rb, Kr) to concentrations in the range of 3 to 5 at% and damage levels of almost-equal-to 20 dpa.
