MOLECULAR ELECTRIC-FIELD LEVEL-CROSSING SPECTROSCOPY - DIPOLE-MOMENT IN THE A 1-SIGMA+ STATE OF BAO

摘要
Zero field level crossings in an electric field are measured in the excited A 1Σ+ state of BaO. A single mode cw dye laser is used to excite a single rotational line R(0) in the (1,0) and (3,0) bandheads. The dipole moments of two vibrational states ν′ = 1,3 are determined to be μ1 = 2.63(13) D and μ3 = 2.41(15) D. Amplitudes of electric field level crossing signals under different experimental conditions are discussed. © 1979.
