摘要
This paper presents formulations and calculations involved in combustion instability analysis using finite element methods. Emphasized in the present study is the effect of chemical reactions upon unstable waves of all variables. It is also shown how nonlinear, nonisentropic, and flowfields influence the stability of combustion waves. To demonstrate the validity of the theory, example calculations for a rectangular combustor for hydrogen/oxygen reactions are provided. Further verification of this approach in comparison with various experimental results remains as future tasks.
