Dielectric measurements have been performed on Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-ceramics in the frequency and temperature ranges 20-10(9) Hz and 180-400 K respectively. In addition to the well-known low frequency relaxation characteristic of a relaxor ferroelectric, a second characteristic has been found at high frequency, The latter exists not only in the ferroelectric phase but also in the paraelectric one. A minimum of the corresponding relaxation frequency occurs at the temperature of the maximum of epsilon(r)' measured at low frequency. This relaxation could be related to the inertia of Nb5+ correlation chains at high frequency.
