KINEMATIC FITTING OF NEUTRON TARGET REACTIONS IN A DEUTERIUM BUBBLE CHAMBER

摘要
Procedures for fitting reactions on a neutron target in a deuterium bubble chamber are compared. The method in which the spectator proton is assumed to have three zero components of momentum before kinematic fitting is shown to be satisfactory for 4C events. Although the same technique yields fitted values for the proton momentum and direction which are less satisfactory for 1C events it is shown to have some advantages compared with other methods and the nature of the reliable information which may be obtained from this type of event is investigated. © 1969.
