摘要：

A case of traumatic, subcapsular perirenal hematoma giving rise to arterial hypertension is reported. The ischemic functional pattern demonstrated during the phase of hypertension and its return to normal after subsidence of hypertension is testimony to the validity of Page's original concept of ischemia as the basic mechanism of hypertension in cases of extrinsic compression of one kidney. © 1969.
