摘要
The Friedel-Crafts acetylation of a series of [m]ferrocenophanes has been carried out and the results compared with those for non-bridged analogues. Steric effects predominate. In each case studied, substitution at cyclopentadienyl ring positions β- to the interannular bridge is favoured by a factor which varies markedly with the nature of the bridge. The PMR and electronic spectra of the products are discussed. © 1969.
